X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Deadpool 2, and New Mutants Announced

X-Men
20th Century Fox has been releasing X-Men films since 2000. After nine films, it has become one of their biggest franchises. Disney has most of the Marvel library, and Warner Bros has the DC characters, in an age where superhero films are some of the biggest money makers Fox does not want to miss out. After the critical acclaim and box office successes of Logan and Deadpool, Fox has no plans on slowing down. On April 22ND, 2017 20TH Century Fox announced a line of future films with three X-Men properties slated for 2018. These include The New Mutants, Deadpool 2, and X-Men: the Dark Phoenix.
Fox now finds itself in an interesting position. Logan marked the final appearance for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, who was the poster boy for the X-Men films for seventeen years. Fox knows they still want to continue making X-Men films (so the rights don’t go back to Marvel), yet they know they can’t just recast Wolverine because audience and fan reception would not be kind. They will have to wait a decent amount of time till it is safe to try to reuse Wolverine.

An Open Letter to Trump Supporters and Those Scared of His Presidency

As a white man, I understand the frustration, sadness, disdain, and anger many Muslim, Latinx, Black, and other peoples will have towards me and those that look like me. I don’t blame you, I share those similar feelings with those that look like I do. White privilege has left us in this position with Donald Trump, an openly sexist, racist, homophobic (not to mention how homophobic his running mate is), Islamophobic, xenophobic, and all together disgusting man elected into the highest office of power in our country.

As a gay man, I woke up with the fear for my life as our country delves into four years of hatred and division, though it’s not nearly as dangerous for me as it is for the Muslim, Latinx, and other peoples that Trump and his followers have openly attacked.

A Breakdown of Donald Trump at the Presidential Debate

Without going Hillary vs. Donald, it’s important to focus on what Donald Trump said at tonight’s Presidential debate… Or rather, what he didn’t say.

First, let’s begin with the release of his tax returns. He remains the only candidate to not release this information to the public, a fact that is shady all by itself. He claims he’ll release these when Hillary Clinton’s deleted emails are released, so he doesn’t really understand what deleted means, and he claims he’s going “against his lawyer’s wishes” if he releases these.

Supergirl Season 2 Trailer: The Sky’s the Limit

Since the announcement of Supergirl’s move to The CW, and casting of Teen Wolf’s Tyler Hoechlin as the Man of Steel, we finally know the extent that Clark Kent will play in Season 2.

Why do we need Clark Kent to appear in Supergirl Season 2? Truthfully, we don’t. His presence in Season 1 was already too overpowering, but now we must deal with Kara actually living in his shadow.
